A dent has been put in the cannabis supply for Adelaide locals with a recent seizure stopping around 100kg of dried cannabis from being lit up.
The cannabis, worth approximately $670,000, according to South Australian Police, was found in an industrial warehouse in Mawson Lakes – around 12km north of the Adelaide CBD.
Serious and Organised Crime Branch (SOCB) carried out the search on the property, on April 9. Acting Detective Chief Inspector Jon Halliday said it’s business as usual for officers in the unit.
SAPOL is committed to impacting the operations of organised crime including targeting people or groups who are suspected of trafficking, cultivating or manufacturing controlled drugs.
A 27-year-old man from Mawson Lakes was arrested and charged with several criminal offences. He was refused bail and will appear before court on April 14.
