David Littleproud, the current Agriculture Minister, and a QLD member of the Liberals, has introduced new legislation to the parliament which is set to greatly benefit those looking to ship cannabis products overseas.
Hemp and medicinal cannabis – both growing industries in Australia, and now likely to grow even faster thanks to proposed legislation put forward. Medicinal cannabis exports, in particular, will be surely likely to boost the caps of the many ASX-listed medicinal cannabis companies in Australia.
On top of that, with the Northern Territory be one of the last states to re-legalise hemp farming, almost all the Aussie states are set to benefit from the move now.
Mr. Littleproud was quite pleased with the legislation, some may even say proud.
We want our agricultural industries to be able to capitalise on the opportunities that flow from growth in our region and globally. This bill allows the growth of export markets for hemp and medicinal cannabis industries.
It’s a welcome piece of news for the National Farmers Federation (NFF), who are seeking a bold target of growing the agricultural industry to a $100 billion valuation by 2030.
Some have doubted the growth, but we believe in them! They need all the help they can get, so how about legalising recreational cannabis now Parliament? Thanks.
Thankfully, even though the legislation is still yet to pass, both Liberal and Labour support it. Meaning their cutting through their own red tape to allow others to cut through theirs. Good on ’em for once.
