A new cannabis-themed reality TV show is set to premiere next week, hosted by American cannabis tycoon BigMike.
Michael “BigMike” Straumietis is the founder of Advanced Nutrients – the worlds most profitable cannabis company. Advanced Nutrients makes more than $110 million annually, selling products in 107 countries (including Australia).
Now, 60-year-old BigMike is looking for the next marijuana mogul.
BigMike will make his reality-TV debut in just over a week, starring in a new show that appears to be a mixture between Shark Tank and Weeds. Throughout the show, BigMike will subject 16 budding entrepreneurs to a series of marijuana-themed survival challenges. According to the trailer released by CNN yesterday, these challenges will include forcing contestants pledge their allegiance to pot through cannabis tattoos, military-style exercises and jumping out of planes.
The winner of ‘The Next Marijuana Millionaire’ will receive a grand prize worth $1 million US, along with a potential partnership with BigMike and Advanced Nutrients.
Promoting the show on Instagram, BigMike wrote:
It’s been my dream to be able to pay it forward to this budding industry full of trailblazing individuals, and this show is one of my many efforts.
The Next Marijuana Millionaire is due to be released on August 15th. You can watch the trailer below.
